Although most of the thousands of hacks out there were produced by unscrupulous companies based outside the U.S. (such as Taiwan), those listed here are modern-day creations. Some improve on the original, some detract from it, and some offer a unique experience on an old favorite.

| Boring Donkey Kong |

This is a humorous hack SERIES by Charles Morgan. In the hack of Donkey Kong with the barrels and flaming things removed. In short, it's hardly a game anymore. Boring Freeway features all of the cars and trucks removed. Boring Journey Escape has all of the "bad" sprites removed. The only real challenge now is getting the exit icon without missing it. Boring Pac-man has all of the ghosts removed. Boring Pitfall is not quite as boring as the other hacks since you still have a lot of the hazards to contend with. In short; the pits, water, and holes are still there. Boring Taz is missing the dynamite that usually kills Taz. |

The original Atari version of Bowling was actually quite good if you could get around the color scheme - Scott Dayton revamps that by bringing the trendy night bowling to the 2600. You get to bowl like an alien too. Tell me that isn't cool. |
